Business Development Manager

About the role

Toll Group is seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to join its Global Forwarding team in New Zealand. Reporting to the Regional Head of Field Sales or Country Sales Manager, you will help grow the customer base and deepen existing relationships across Wellington or Napier.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the logistics and freight‑forwarding market.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of Toll Global Forwarding.
• Collaborate with internal operations, pricing, and compliance teams to deliver tailored freight solutions.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure smooth hand‑over to service teams.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
• Represent Toll at industry events and networking functions.
