Business Analyst - Procurement

About the role

Fonterra is looking for a Business Analyst for its Procurement team, reporting to the Data & Analytics Manager. The role helps Procurement use data, systems, insights and emerging technologies to improve processes, optimise systems, enhance reporting and support smarter decision-making. It is a hybrid position based in Auckland, Hamilton and North Waikato.

Key responsibilities

• Work across a range of initiatives to improve processes, optimise systems and enhance reporting.
• Work closely with stakeholders across Procurement to understand business challenges and identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with data teams to deliver practical, user-focused solutions.
• Help transform how Procurement works through data-driven, AI-enabled ways of working and improved insights.

Required profile

• Around 5 years' experience in business or data analysis roles, ideally on complex projects or programmes in large organisations.
• Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with resilience and adaptability.
• Proven experience optimising systems and processes, and managing requirements and constraints across the delivery lifecycle.
• Exposure to Procurement, Supply Chain, SAP, data and analytics, or digital transformation environments is advantageous.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of data analytics reporting, design and data quality.
• Exposure to data platforms and engineering tools.
• Ability to understand complex requirements and develop fit-for-purpose analytics solutions.
