Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (Lower Hutt)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in ANZ's Retail Banking division, you will deliver a seamless branch experience, helping customers meet their full range of financial needs. You will combine transaction processing with needs‑based conversations and guide customers toward digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end banking services, from transactions to advisory conversations.
• Educate customers on digital banking tools and promote their use.
• Act as a role model and peer coach within the branch team.
• Drive customer engagement and advocacy, contributing to branch performance targets.
• Support bank programs and initiatives, ensuring compliance with ANZ policies.
• Maintain a strong “know your customer” approach from a risk perspective.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer focus with a service‑oriented mindset.
• Retail banking or customer‑facing experience is an advantage.
• Comfortable using and promoting digital channels and technology.
