Automotive Technician (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Automotive Technician to join our Upper Hutt service team. You will work on a variety of Toyota vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable and ready for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform servicing and routine maintenance on vehicle systems.
• Carry out mechanical repairs and component replacements.
• Conduct test drives to diagnose faults and verify repairs.
• Communicate findings and recommendations with service advisors.

Required profile

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to tackle challenges.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid New Zealand driver’s licence.
• WOF certification or willingness to obtain it.
• NZQA Level 4 automotive qualification and at least one year of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Vehicle systems servicing.
• Mechanical repair techniques.
• Diagnostic test‑driving.
• Warrant of Fitness (WOF) procedures.
• Knowledge of modern and hybrid Toyota technology.
