Assistant Store Manager

About the role

Join Skechers Australia as an Assistant Store Manager in Palmerston North. You will work closely with the Store Manager to drive daily operations, support your team, and deliver an exceptional customer experience in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets, KPIs and overall store performance.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members to ensure high‑quality customer service.
• Assist with visual merchandising, stock management and store presentation.
• Help manage wage costs, create effective rosters and control labour expenses.
• Maintain a safe, compliant and well‑organized store environment.

Required profile

• Experience in a senior sales assistant, key holder, supervisor, 3IC or similar leadership role.
• Proactive attitude with a strong desire to grow leadership capabilities.
• Passion for team development and delivering great customer experiences.
• Ability to meet sales targets and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with stock management, visual merchandising and retail operations.
