Job description

About the role

Latitude's Sales Finance business partners with leading retailers to offer flexible, accessible finance at the point of sale. The Area Manager strengthens relationships with retail partners and drives commercial performance across their territory, acting as the main link between Latitude and regional and store teams. The role combines relationship management, coaching, compliance leadership and operational execution.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen relationships with regional, store managers, owners and sales teams, acting as a trusted advisor to maximise finance penetration, conversion and sales.
  • Deliver a structured training framework that builds product confidence and responsible finance behaviour, and monitor completion and knowledge gaps.
  • Drive business sales goals and targets, analyse store-level KPIs and recommend actions to improve application quality, approvals and attach rates.
  • Understand how retailers operate and tailor support to their maturity and performance, feeding store feedback back to national teams.
  • Provide on-call servicing support, troubleshooting application concerns, settlement queries and POS collateral needs.
  • Ensure stores have up-to-date POS collateral, system readiness and compliant promotional materials, and run regular store visits and quality checks.
  • Support execution of national and local campaigns and coordinate promotional activities.
  • Maintain accurate territory reporting on engagement, training, performance and risks, and keep stakeholders informed.

Required profile

  • Experience in partner management, enablement, operations or commercial support in retail, financial services, payments or a franchise network.
  • Strong understanding of POS finance processes (onboarding, pricing, applications, settlements, collateral, compliance).
  • Able to manage a large portfolio of around 1,500 SMB partners with accuracy and prioritisation.
  • Proven ability to deliver compliance-led activity such as training, governance forums, evidence collection and issue logging.
  • Ability to coordinate campaigns, use dashboards and KPIs, engage with head-office stakeholders and drive accountability without formal authority.
  • Team leadership or coaching experience is advantageous but not essential.

Required skills

  • CRM and contract/order management systems, with attention to data integrity.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to speed insights, reporting and content.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including documentation of minutes, actions and campaign summaries.

What we offer

  • Flexible working environment with a hybrid model.
  • An extra week of paid leave each year.
  • Sonder, a 24/7 wellbeing support app.
  • Discounts on Latitude products and services.
