AI-Driven Quality Automation Engineer – Playwright & CI/CD

About the role

Trimble is looking for an AI‑Driven Quality Automation Engineer to design, develop and maintain high‑performance test automation for its global business systems. Based in Christchurch, you will work with Azure cloud services and an Agile Scrum team to ensure seamless integration across complex, multi‑service workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable automation test suites using Playwright, embedded in the CI/CD pipeline.
• Lead the transition to AI‑driven testing, introducing self‑healing scripts and automated test data generation.
• Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT) across multiple engineering teams.
• Own sprint‑level quality, validating features and ensuring timely delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing System Integration Testing for distributed, complex systems.
• Strong practical knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins) and Docker containerisation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and meeting tight sprint deadlines.

Required skills

• Playwright (TypeScript preferred), including locators, trace viewers and API testing.
• CI/CD pipelines and related tooling.
• Docker containerisation.
• Azure cloud services.
• C# and the .NET framework (bonus).
• AI‑augmented testing tools such as GitHub Copilot or Applitools (bonus).
