Advisor Operations Support – National Service Delivery

About the role

The Advisor Operations Support role within the National Service Delivery unit provides expert, timely advice to business unit managers and frontline staff across the Ministry of Justice. You will help shape operational policies, drive continuous improvement and support the release of information to Ministers, Parliament and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate, comprehensive advice to managers and frontline operations on policy, procedures and service delivery.
• Develop, update and implement operational policies, guidelines and improvement initiatives.
• Lead or support service‑improvement projects and continuous‑improvement activities.
• Manage the processing, drafting and issuance of responses to ministerial correspondence, written parliamentary questions and public information requests.
• Collaborate with other Ministry units to ensure statutory compliance, alignment with publicly available information and timely delivery of responses.

Required profile

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of the machinery of government and risk awareness.
• Proven problem‑solving ability, resilience and capacity to work in a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary team.
• Flexibility, calmness under pressure and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Experience in project work and stakeholder management.
