Accounts Officer

About the role

We are seeking a self‑motivated Accounts Officer to join our finance team in Palmerston North. Working closely with the CFO and Business Support Team, you will help keep our financial processes running smoothly across multiple branches.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, monthly statements and customer queries.
• Perform credit control by monitoring overdue debtors and following up on payments.
• Set up new customer accounts and process accounts payable invoices, data entry and coding.
• Ensure month‑end invoicing is completed and handle creditor queries.
• Receipt and reconciliation of warranty and extra‑care payments.
• Reconcile creditor statements and organise electronic payments on the 20th of each month.
• Provide support and cover for other Business Support team members as needed.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail with accurate data‑entry abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Effective time‑management and organisational capabilities.
• Positive, energetic attitude and ability to stay calm during busy periods.
