Account Manager – Wellington, NZ

About the role

Join Bunnings' Commercial team as an Account Manager responsible for growing and maintaining relationships with trades, organisations and builders across the Wellington region. You will develop and execute sales strategies, identify new business opportunities and reactivate former customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and execute strategic sales plans for Bunnings’ product and service range.
• Develop growth strategies, target new accounts and rebuild relationships with existing clients.
• Conduct cold‑calling, client visits and provide tailored, value‑added solutions.
• Collaborate with the Bunnings Warehouse in Blenheim and the national Commercial Services team.
• Ensure customers receive the best price, range and service.

Required profile

• Proven sales experience, preferably in the building‑supplies or construction sector.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Confidence in cold‑calling and face‑to‑face client engagements.
• Ability to read basic building plans (beneficial but not mandatory).
• Reports to the Area Sales Manager – Trade (South Island).
