Account Manager – New Zealand

About the role

Termina is looking for an experienced Account Manager to own and grow its New Zealand client base. You will be the on‑the‑ground point of contact for multi‑site energy customers, handling everything from relationship management to complex operational issues.

Key responsibilities

• Drive retention and revenue growth through business reviews, upselling and cross‑selling.
• Lead client calls, retailer conversations and partner check‑ins across New Zealand.
• Own end‑to‑end resolution of complex operational issues such as meter installs, billing disputes, business transfers and retailer escalations.
• Maintain a real‑time view of account health, churn signals and contract timelines.
• Identify repetitive or slow processes and use AI tools to automate and scale operations.

Required profile

• Exceptional communicator who can convey difficult news clearly and maintain strong client relationships.
• Action‑oriented problem solver who moves quickly and takes ownership of issues.
• Confident operator able to manage a book of 50+ accounts independently.
• Trusted advisor who is prepared, honest and consistently useful to clients.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong bias toward data‑driven decision making.

Required skills

• 5+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success or a similar client‑facing commercial role.
• Demonstrated ownership of a full book of accounts.
• Familiarity with New Zealand energy market, retailer and regulatory landscape.
