Account Manager – New Verticals Partnerships

About the role

DoorDash is seeking an Account Manager to join its New Verticals Partnerships team in New Zealand. In this role you will drive growth and quality for our convenience, retail and grocery partners, acting as the primary liaison between merchants and DoorDash’s internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with new‑vertical partners to increase sales, improve service quality and deliver actionable data insights.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with growth, merchandising, marketing and operations teams to execute partnership initiatives.
• Implement growth strategies across convenience, retail and grocery partners, including large‑scale campaigns and targeted projects.
• Manage partner‑specific requirements such as POS integrations, custom reporting, catalogue optimisation, merchant marketing and operational improvements.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key partners at all organisational levels.
• Report directly to the Enterprise Partnerships Manager, New Zealand.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in account management, management consulting, project management, client success or sales management.
• Proven ability to work directly with clients and develop long‑term relationships.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capability to translate broad challenges into clear, actionable projects.

Required skills

• SQL for data analysis and reporting.
