Account Manager – Customer‑focused Sales Role

About the role

Brickworks NZ is looking for an enthusiastic, customer‑focused Account Manager to join its Kingsland office in Auckland. Reporting to the NZ Business Manager, you will drive revenue and margin growth across new and existing customers in the Auckland region, working alongside another Account Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maximise sales revenue and margin from both new and existing customers.
• Submit weekly call sheets and reports, maintain accurate sales records and adhere to pricing guidelines.
• Track quotation outcomes, spend at least 85% of time engaging with clients, and attend weekly meetings.
• Achieve financial targets for volume, margin and revenue while controlling selling expenses and doubtful debts.
• Monitor budget performance, report key financial indicators and ensure compliance with WHSE policies.
• Promote the full product range to specifiers, housing companies, builders and end users.
• Maintain availability of sales materials and contribute to team goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar account management or sales role.
• Strong understanding of business operations, strategies and methodologies.
• Excellent time‑management, organisational and administrative abilities.
• High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and passion for delivering exceptional service.
• Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
