Account Manager – Commercial & Industrial Energy Solutions

About the role

Genesis is looking for an Account Manager to partner with commercial and industrial customers across New Zealand. You will build long‑term relationships, understand client businesses, and identify energy solutions that create mutual value. This role combines relationship management, commercial insight, and a proactive approach to delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial and industrial customers, establishing trusted, long‑term relationships.
• Identify opportunities to expand partnerships through tailored energy solutions, products, and services.
• Lead regular customer reviews, understand evolving business needs, and deliver solutions that create lasting value.
• Support new business opportunities and RFPs, collaborating to secure new customers and ensure smooth onboarding.
• Maintain accurate customer information, sales activity, and forecasts within CRM systems.
• Travel regionally from the Auckland or Hamilton office to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Required profile

• Resilient, adaptable, and motivated by delivering great outcomes for customers and the team.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities.
• Full New Zealand driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout the region.
