Yards Leading Hand – Day Shift

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Yards Leading Hand to join our Dannevirke Plant on the day shift. The role involves hands‑on leadership in the yards, ensuring smooth operations while upholding the highest standards of health, safety and animal welfare.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in leading day‑to‑day activities in the Yards department on the day shift.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of health and safety and animal welfare.
• Support team members to achieve operational targets.
• Ensure compliance with plant procedures and regulations.

Required profile

• Eligible to work in New Zealand and able to pass pre‑employment drug test and medical assessment.
• Physically fit, reliable and committed to a hands‑on leadership role.
• Willing to follow and respect workplace health and safety policies.
• Team‑oriented with a willingness to help others succeed.

Required skills

• Experience working with livestock in a production environment.
