Warehouse Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a team of about 11 staff in a state-of-the-art distribution centre in Tauriko. Reporting to the Distribution Centre Operations Manager, you will coordinate dispatch activities, allocate resources, maintain inventory accuracy and drive safety performance on the afternoon shift (Mon‑Fri 1 pm‑9 pm).

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the distribution team to meet operational and customer service targets.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Monitor inventory accuracy, support regular stock‑taking and ensure accurate dispatches.
• Engage actively on the warehouse floor with job planning, training and coaching.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across safety, productivity and customer service.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a large‑scale distribution or logistics operation.
• Current forklift licence (counterbalance and reach preferred).
• Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.
• Excellent communication, planning and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, resilient leadership style with a passion for developing people.
• Experience with mechanical handling equipment and knowledge of dangerous‑goods requirements is advantageous.
