About the role
Level Playing Field is seeking a Volunteer Events Coordinator to lead the planning and delivery of a variety of community events that raise awareness and funds for youth sport initiatives across New Zealand. You will work closely with the team to bring people together and support the charity’s mission.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate event planning and logistics for fundraisers, community gatherings, golf days, quiz nights, family days, and other activities.
- Manage timelines, schedules, and budgets to ensure smooth execution.
- Liaise with sponsors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to secure resources and support.
- Assist with volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and coordination.
- Oversee events from concept through delivery, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Required profile
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
- Previous experience coordinating events or projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
- Passion for community impact and youth development.
