Event Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a smart, efficient and experienced Event Coordinator to join Lemongrass Productions. The role is full‑time (30 hours per week) on a fixed‑term contract from June to October 2026, based in our North Shore office with some work‑from‑home flexibility. You will support the planning and delivery of large‑scale consumer festivals and bespoke corporate events across New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Manage event timelines, logistics and supplier coordination for venues in Auckland, Whangarei, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch.
• Prepare run‑sheets, documentation and update budgets and reports.
• Assist with sales, participant onboarding and coordination of marketing assets and event collateral.
• Provide on‑site support during set‑up, live event days and pack‑down.
• Track event performance metrics, maintain accurate records and contribute ideas to improve attendee experience.

Required profile

• Strong event planning and coordination abilities, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients, sponsors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Proven customer‑service focus and experience in on‑site event delivery.
• Sales or account support experience is advantageous.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during event periods and perform hands‑on tasks.
• Relevant experience in events, marketing or hospitality; a diploma or degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications or related field is beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
• Basic experience with event management or CRM software.
• Familiarity with ticketing platforms (a plus).
