About the role
Citizens Advice Sefton is seeking a Training & Support Officer to develop volunteers and ensure the delivery of high‑quality advice services. You will work closely with volunteers, providing training, coaching and on‑the‑spot support during advice sessions.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver training sessions for new and existing volunteers.
- Provide one‑to‑one coaching, feedback and guidance during advice sessions.
- Assist volunteers in building confidence and improving their advisory skills.
- Step in to give direct advice to clients when required.
- Maintain training records and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes.
Required profile
- Experience in training, mentoring or supporting volunteers or the public.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities.
- Commitment to high standards of service and confidentiality.
- Ability to work with vulnerable or diverse client groups.
