Trade to Cash Analyst

About the role

The Trade to Cash Analyst supports the ANZ Senior Analyst and the Trade to Cash, Sales, GBS and IT teams, as well as other finance teams, so that trade spend and working capital stay aligned with expectations. The role manages pricing, customer deductions and payables to keep claim processing accurate and timely, and provides analysis and reporting on trade spend while helping improve business processes. It is based in Newmarket, Auckland.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile trade spend balance sheet accounts accurately and on time
• Oversee customer deductions, AP claims processing and pricing discrepancies, ensuring deductions are timely and compliant with company policy
• Investigate pricing discrepancies and prepare monthly customer balance sheets
• Work with Sales and GBS to keep customer accounts healthy, and support external and internal audit queries
• Support the Senior Analyst with internal audits and SOX compliance
• Maintain data integrity in Demantra (trade promotional management system) and in the ERP, including product hierarchies, trading terms and discounts, and vendor account setup
• Coordinate between GBS and the local Sales team and handle ad hoc trade finance queries

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or Accounting (CPA/CA qualification or studies preferred but not mandatory)
• Experience in financial accounting, planning or analysis, preferably in FMCG or retail sales channels
• Strong credit control and process improvement experience is advantageous

• Transactional processes and core systems such as BPCS, SAP, Demantra or similar
• Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau (or similar)
• Data analysis, strategic thinking and strong written and verbal communication
