Technical Sales Representative – Australia

About the role

Sika Australia is looking for motivated, commercially driven Technical Sales Representatives to join its growing team, with opportunities in Sydney, Queensland and Victoria. The role combines technical expertise, relationship-building and sales to deliver solutions in the construction and building materials industries. It is open to New Zealand-based applicants who are willing to relocate to Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers while securing new business.
• Drive sales growth and achieve agreed sales targets across the territory.
• Provide technical product advice and recommend solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Build relationships with key decision-makers, contractors, builders and specifiers.
• Identify market trends, competitor activity and expansion opportunities.
• Conduct customer visits, product presentations and technical training sessions.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial agreements and manage the sales pipeline.
• Collaborate with technical, marketing and customer service teams.
• Maintain customer records, sales forecasts and reporting.

Required profile

• Ideally experience in technical sales, business development or account management.
• Exposure to construction, building materials, construction chemicals, concrete, engineering or a related industry.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
• Self-motivated, able to manage the territory independently.

Required skills

• Strong relationship-building, negotiation and communication skills.
• Technical product knowledge and ability to advise customers.
