Department Manager - Commercial Bay

About the role

H&M Group is hiring a Department Manager for its Commercial Bay store in Auckland. The manager leads the team behind the scenes, supports and encourages everyone, and helps build an inclusive, collaborative culture. The role sits within the Store Team and works alongside the wider Area Team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver an outstanding customer experience through excellent operational and visual standards, while promoting and selling the products
• Own the store's strengths, analyse sales performance, spot commercial opportunities, set goals and plan to optimise results, profits and stock levels
• Manage team planning and scheduling, and ensure smooth opening and closing routines
• Recruit, onboard and develop the team
• Stay up to date on fashion trends, customer preferences and competitors
• Represent the brand positively in all customer interactions

Required profile

• Retail management and operations experience
• Strong leadership, coaching and team-development skills
• Expertise in sales planning, analysis and follow-up, using customer-centric tools and reporting
• Interest in fashion trends, commerciality and competitor insights
• Ability to manage statistics and work with numbers
