Teacher in Charge – Biology (Online School)

About the role

Crimson Global Academy is seeking a Teacher in Charge for Biology to lead the subject area across its online platform. You will work closely with the Head of Department to ensure a consistently excellent learning experience for students following Pearson Edexcel IGCSE and A‑Level specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Biology classes and provide one‑to‑one tutoring.
• Plan, deliver, and continuously improve lessons aligned to Pearson Edexcel IGCSE/A‑Level specifications.
• Maintain the subject page in the LMS, including lesson plans, resources, and assessments.
• Support the Head of Department with quality assurance, learning walks, and standardisation processes.
• Mentor, develop, and onboard new Biology teachers.
• Contribute to curriculum review, assessment planning, and exam preparation.
• Analyse post‑exam data, intervene where needed, and monitor student progress.
• Promote digital pedagogy and share best practices across the faculty.
• Encourage student enrichment through competitions and subject clubs.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with deep expertise in Biology.
• Strong knowledge of Pearson Edexcel IGCSE/A‑Level specifications, examiner reports, and mark schemes.
• Confident delivering lessons via digital learning platforms.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to support and develop colleagues.
• Organised, data‑aware, and committed to high academic standards.
• Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff.

• Proficiency with online learning management systems.
