Support Worker - Gore

About the role

IDEA Services is looking for a Support Worker based in Gore to join its Planned Leave Cover (PLC) team. You will support adults with intellectual disabilities to live independently at home and take part in their community, covering multiple homes with guaranteed hours and a varied roster to cover staff leave. The role is full time, around 65+ hours per fortnight, and applicants must be based locally in Gore.

Required profile

• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and a genuine passion for supporting people; full training and ongoing support is provided.
• Availability to work shifts across mornings, evenings, sleepovers and alternate weekends.
• Physical fitness to support people with hands-on daily living tasks.
• A full New Zealand driver's licence.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.

Required skills

• Comfortable and proficient with computers and tablets.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
