Stores Supervisor – Meadowfresh Warehouse, Christchurch

About the role

Goodman Fielder New Zealand is looking for a Stores Supervisor to join the warehouse team at its Meadowfresh site in Christchurch. The role suits someone with a willingness to learn, strong warehouse experience and people management experience, and good physical strength and attention to detail on safety and housekeeping. The shift is a rotating fortnightly day shift from 6am to 6pm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of stores staff and supervise day-to-day department operations, including business systems and performance
• Check and sign for incoming goods according to internal procedures
• Unload goods according to the packing slip and keep them in good condition
• Check, load and sign for outgoing goods according to internal procedure
• Supply packaging to the UHT and Milk Station production teams on time
• Assist in the weekly stock take and maintain accuracy standards
• Book out and receipt stock using SAP software
• Report hazards constructively and contribute to health and safety

Required profile

• Team management experience
• Experience managing business systems and performance
• Previous warehouse experience with a high element of forklift operation
• OSH forklift licence
• Ability to work with other site functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced environment
