Workshop General Hand - Crown Forklifts Auckland

About the role

Crown Equipment is a global forklift company with 40 years in New Zealand, offering sales, rentals and servicing of lift trucks across 15 branches. This hands-on role supports the rentals and transport workshop team in coordinating daily deliveries of forklifts and helping process returned trucks so they are ready for re-dispatch. You will also help keep the site safe and tidy and support the workshop technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Physically check each delivery of machines, making sure they are charged and in the dispatch area
• Check that delivery dockets are created and processed for invoicing
• Assist with "Off Hiring" processing when assets are returned to the branch
• Help with stock counts in workshops and the yard so all assets are accounted for
• Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers
• Assist transport drivers with unloading and loading equipment when needed
• Help workshop technicians keep the worksite safe and tidy

Required profile

• Interest in logistics and distribution or mechanics; a mechanical or automotive background is welcome
• Full driver's licence, including manual driving, plus a forklift licence
• Customer-focused, solutions-focused and able to think on your feet
• Physically fit and comfortable manually preparing trucks for dispatch
• Confident with technology and quick to learn new technical skills
• Strong attention to detail and good teamwork
