Staff Nurse – Orthopaedic Outpatient Clinic

About the role

The Outpatient Clinic at Woodend Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic, caring Staff Nurse to join our busy orthopaedic department. You will work within a multi‑professional team to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care to patients attending consultant, minor procedure and nurse‑led clinics.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist nursing care for a wide range of orthopaedic conditions.
• Deliver care in consultant‑led, orthopaedic minor‑procedure and nurse‑led clinics.
• Support a dedicated nurse‑led service, various procedure clinics and hand‑trauma clinics.
• Manage a high patient volume of 300‑400 patients per week while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Qualified registered nurse with a genuine interest in orthopaedics.
• Previous orthopaedic nursing experience and orthopaedic skills are essential.
• Clinic experience and up‑to‑date wound‑care skills are preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and flexibility.
