Software Specialist – DevOps Engineer

About the role

ASB is looking for a Software Specialist (DevOps Engineer) to provide senior technical leadership within a squad. You will own the end‑to‑end delivery pipeline, driving automation, cloud platform delivery and continuous improvement of our software systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and optimise CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery.
• Drive automation across build, test, deployment and release workflows.
• Support scalable, containerised systems on cloud platforms.
• Implement CI/CD and release automation for enterprise platforms, including Salesforce (SFDX, Copado, Gearset).
• Embed engineering standards, quality practices and reliability controls.
• Provide production support, incident response and platform stability.
• Collaborate across squads to improve delivery efficiency and system resilience.
• Coach and mentor engineers to uplift DevOps capability.
• Lead continuous improvement of tooling, processes and engineering practices.

Required profile

• Technically strong engineer with deep DevOps expertise.
• Hands‑on, lead‑from‑the‑front approach.
• Proven experience in DevOps, platform engineering or build & deployment roles.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset and ability to work across cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• CI/CD tooling: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• Cloud platform: Azure (preferred).
• Containers & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep, Ansible.
• Salesforce DevOps tools: Salesforce DX (SFDX), Copado, Gearset.
