Software Engineer – AI‑Driven Delivery

About the role

Datacom is looking for a hands‑on Software Engineer to work at the forefront of AI‑driven software delivery. You will translate product outcomes into machine‑executable work, orchestrate specialised agents, and embed verification gates that ensure safe, rapid releases.

Key responsibilities

• Operate within an agentic SDLC, collaborating with AI agents, deterministic tools and human signals to produce production‑ready code.
• Decompose requirements into discrete, verifiable units for execution by specialised agents and automated verification steps.
• Orchestrate end‑to‑end delivery flows, clearly defining tool, agent and human activities.
• Apply risk‑calibrated routing to match changes with appropriate automated checks, agent reviews and human approvals.
• Implement responsible, privacy‑aware AI practices in line with governance and risk expectations.
• Monitor and continuously improve the performance, reliability and adoption of automation pipelines.
• Partner with engineers, tech leads and business stakeholders to align delivery outcomes and plan cross‑team integration.
• Share learnings and contribute to team practices around agent management, task shaping and tool selection.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping production software.
• Hands‑on experience with AI, automation and agent orchestration in delivery pipelines.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices such as CI/CD and DevOps tooling.
