Senior Project Manager – 12‑month contract (Wellington)

About the role

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager on a 12‑month contract to provide structured delivery leadership across multiple workstreams of a government programme. The role is based in Wellington and requires a calm, disciplined approach in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery across key workstreams, ensuring progress against agreed outcomes.
• Develop and maintain delivery plans, milestones, risks and dependencies in a complex environment.
• Provide clear oversight of delivery status, including risks, issues and mitigations.
• Drive accountability across workstreams and ensure delivery expectations are met.
• Work closely with the Programme Manager to prioritise work and adapt to changing priorities.
• Coordinate across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment and support governance reporting.
• Enable decision‑making by providing timely information and recommendations.
