Senior People & Culture Business Partner

About the role

As a Senior People & Culture Business Partner within Fonterra's New Zealand Manufacturing division, you will drive workforce strategy, capability development and performance across multiple sites on the North Island. The role is highly strategic, partnering with senior leaders to embed workforce planning, organisational design and capability uplift into everyday business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Shape and execute a comprehensive workforce strategy that aligns with long‑term business priorities.
• Lead strategic workforce planning at scale, translating data‑driven insights into actionable plans.
• Advise and influence senior leaders across lower North Island sites and the National Transport portfolio.
• Design and implement organisational structures and capability development programmes.
• Drive complex change initiatives and deliver integrated people solutions that generate measurable business outcomes.
• Coach, challenge and support leaders to build high‑performance cultures and champion employee engagement.

Required profile

• Commercially astute, forward‑thinking P&C leader with experience in large, complex environments.
• Proven expertise in strategic workforce planning and capability alignment.
• Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and delivering enterprise‑level outcomes.
• Experience working in unionised, operational settings.
• Data‑driven, outcomes‑focused with strong analytical decision‑making.
