Senior Mobile Developer (React Native) – Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Mobile Developer with deep React Native expertise to lead our mobile environment in Auckland CBD. This contract role focuses on leveraging AI‑driven tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and deliver high‑performance mobile solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Use AI‑native tools (e.g., Copilot, custom LLM agents) to refactor, debug, and enhance the existing React Native codebase.
• Act as the “Human in the Loop,” conducting AI‑assisted code audits, security checks, and performance optimizations.
• Design and implement prompts and workflows that automate repetitive development tasks.
• Collaborate on‑site 3‑4 days per week with a high‑energy team, sharing AI‑first techniques.
• Drive rapid delivery from concept to deployment using the latest frameworks.

Required profile

• Valid New Zealand work right (non‑negotiable).
• Strong motivation to work on‑site several days a week.
• Proven senior‑level experience with React Native and modern JavaScript ecosystems.
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI tools into daily coding, documentation, and testing workflows.
• Ability to quickly grasp complex architecture and guide AI tools to produce scalable results.
