About the role
ACC is seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join its People & Culture group in Wellington. This role focuses on leading complex employment relations (ER) cases and partnering with business leaders to enhance the people experience and organisational performance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational HR support across enabling functions, designing and delivering people solutions.
- Lead and manage complex ER case work, ensuring outcomes align with ACC values, legislation, and strategy.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on sensitive ER matters.
- Develop leadership capability through coaching and support to build high‑performing, inclusive teams.
- Use data and insights to identify trends, risks and opportunities, translating them into actionable plans.
- Build strong, influential relationships across the organisation, connecting business needs with People & Culture services.
Required profile
- Experienced HR generalist with a strong track record in managing complex ER processes end‑to‑end.
- Proven ability to partner with business leaders to drive outcomes.
- Experience handling high‑volume ER case work.
- Strong coaching, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- In‑depth knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation (public‑sector exposure preferred).
- Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and apply business acumen to people outcomes.
