Senior Geotechnical & Civil Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical & Civil Engineer to lead design and client responsibilities on embankment dam, water storage and complex infrastructure projects across New Zealand. You will work within a specialist team where senior decision‑makers are just a desk away.

Key responsibilities

• Take full design ownership of embankment dams, water storage facilities and related infrastructure.
• Conduct seepage and slope stability analyses and produce detailed design calculations.
• Maintain direct client contact, manage expectations and ensure project delivery nationwide.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate civil and geotechnical solutions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level geotechnical and civil engineering experience.
• Proven track record with embankment dam design, seepage and slope stability projects.
• Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for design outcomes.
• Strong client‑facing and communication skills.
