Workshop Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our workshop team in Normanby, Taranaki. The role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety and quality standards, and fostering a collaborative environment where great music is always playing.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all workshop activities, including welding and boilermaking tasks.
• Manage a team of tradespeople, schedule work shifts and maintain a 4‑day work week.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain workshop equipment.
• Monitor production targets, quality control and resource utilisation.
• Collaborate with other departments to align workshop output with project requirements.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of welding and boilermaking processes.
• Ability to manage staff, schedules and maintain a safe workplace.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
