Senior Full Stack Developer

About the role

Quillio, Australia’s leading AI‑powered legal platform, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to own features end‑to‑end. You will design, build and maintain both backend services and responsive front‑ends for a product used daily by thousands of legal professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full‑stack features using Python/FastAPI and NuxtJS.
• Architect and implement integrations with third‑party systems, handling two‑way data sync and document exchange.
• Model complex legal workflows in MongoDB and optimise queries.
• Build and support payment and subscription flows with Stripe.
• Collaborate with AI engineers to embed LLM‑powered capabilities.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and production reliability.
• Write clean, well‑tested code with unit and integration coverage.
• Participate in code reviews, technical planning and architectural decisions.

Required profile

• 15+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Based in Australia or New Zealand with valid working rights.

Required skills

• Python and FastAPI.
• Modern JavaScript/TypeScript, preferably NuxtJS or Vue (React/Next also valued).
• MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases at scale.
• Third‑party API integration, webhooks and data‑sync pipelines.
• Stripe API integration.
• Experience with Claude Code as a development tool.
• Security best practices: authentication, authorisation, encryption and secure data handling.
