Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our small, experienced finance team. You will work closely with the Financial Accounting Manager and the wider business, balancing detailed reporting with commercial insight while enjoying a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage treasury accounting and asset revaluations.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and monthly management reports.
• Report financial results to the Crown and support compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with the finance team on risk management, compliance, and process improvement projects.
• Interpret financial data and provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• CA qualification with solid experience in a finance or corporate accounting role.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships across teams.
• Team‑first attitude with a willingness to mentor and support colleagues.
• Desire for variety and impact in a collaborative, small‑team environment.

Required skills

• NZ IFRS knowledge.
• Tax compliance experience.
• Preparation of statutory financial statements and monthly management reports.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling.
• Experience improving systems and processes.
