Senior Event Manager

About the role

TAG is seeking a Senior Event Manager to join its growing events department. This full‑time position involves planning, executing, and reviewing high‑touch events for top‑tier clients worldwide, while collaborating with global teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage events from concept to post‑event review, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
• Handle all logistics, including travel arrangements, health and safety compliance, budgeting, and vendor negotiations.
• Oversee multiple events simultaneously while maintaining a personalised service for each client.
• Develop creative proposals, attend venue show rounds, and network to generate new business.
• Travel internationally as needed to coordinate and oversee client events.
• Support and mentor team members, provide coverage during absences, and contribute to smooth, profitable operations.
• Identify potential issues, suggest process improvements, and enhance departmental efficiency.

Required profile

• Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Event Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of event industry experience, preferably agency‑based, with delivery of 10+ international events.
• Proven track record managing budgets of $500K+ and writing proposals.
• Experience coordinating air travel and using an airline reservations system (Galileo preferred).
• Self‑starter with strong customer service and negotiation abilities.
