Senior BAS Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior BAS Accountant to join our client‑focused team. You will work within a shared workflow model, delivering high‑quality compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of businesses across New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns and management reports.
• Manage GST, PAYE and FBT compliance for multiple clients.
• Develop budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and advisory recommendations.
• Support client engagements, review work papers and mentor junior team members.
• Identify business issues, propose practical solutions and contribute to workflow improvements.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5+ years of BAS or similar experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Current New Zealand work rights and willingness to undergo background checks.
