Senior Auditor

About the role

Deloitte’s Audit, Assurance and Reporting Advisory business is seeking a Senior Auditor to join its Hamilton team. You will work with a diverse client base across corporate, private and public sectors, delivering high‑quality audit and assurance services.

Key responsibilities

• Present findings and recommend actionable advice to clients.
• Review written advice, reports, memoranda and other deliverables.
• Apply analytical thinking and problem‑solving to shape client business strategies.
• Address complex audit and risk advisory issues while understanding stakeholder needs.
• Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with clients, teams and individuals.
• Deliver exceptional client service and collaborate across businesses and borders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of audit experience in a corporate Chartered Accountant environment.
• Professional qualification such as CA or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, numerical and project‑management abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Well‑developed research and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• IFRS knowledge.
• International and New Zealand accounting standards.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Audit methodology and risk assessment.
