About the role
The Senior Advisor Communications will lead internal communications for the Environmental Protection Authority and work closely with senior leaders to support people and organisational programmes. The role also partners with business experts to share EPA’s work across external channels and manage media relations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead internal communications and partner with senior leaders to support organisational programmes.
- Advise business groups on reputational risks and identify communications opportunities.
- Develop and deliver communications for internal and external EPA projects and initiatives.
- Create proactive storytelling to raise awareness of EPA priorities and key projects.
- Manage media issues, respond to enquiries and generate media releases.
- Contribute to EPA publications ranging from e‑newsletters to corporate documents.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences across multiple channels.
- Support digital communication channels, including the EPA website and intranet.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior communications role.
- Proven ability to lead internal communications and mentor team members.
- Strong understanding of media relations and reputation management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical subjects.
- Experience working in a public‑sector or regulatory environment is an advantage.
