Sales Finance Lead

About the role

Kraft Heinz is hiring a permanent Sales Finance Lead for its New Zealand Finance team, based in Newmarket. The role sits within the finance function supporting the sales business and offers a flexible arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The company is described as one of the largest food and beverage companies in the world, with eight brands and global sales of around $25 billion.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the NZ Managing Director to develop annual plans that deliver the year's targets
• Ensure accurate trade spend management and analyse monthly financial performance against forecast and budget
• Implement strong processes in NZ aligned with the broader ANZ region, with clear responsibilities across Sales, Sales Finance, Category Finance, RGM, Controlling and GBSD
• Drive cost optimisation and KPIs of merchandisers and third-party sales force, and ensure accurate forecasting of trade spend
• Work with Heads of Customers on key P&L levers and with RGM on delivery of RGM plans
• Direct, develop and approve sales and co-op strategies for Retail, Food Service and Exports, and build a go-to-market strategy for the Route business
• Negotiate on behalf of the company on major accounts and drive a growth and business development culture with a robust NPD pipeline
• Review and approve BU sales budgets and forecasts, and guide and support the sales team

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance
• CA/CPA or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience in commercial finance and/or FP&A
• Experience in FMCG companies at a senior level
• Experience working in environments with large retailers
• Strong business partnering skills at senior stakeholder levels

• Trade spend management and accruals
