Retail Assistant – Merchandise

About the role

Join Woolworths Supermarkets New Zealand as a Merchandise Retail Assistant and help deliver an excellent shopping experience for our customers. You will work on‑site in a store environment, supporting daily operations and ensuring the store looks inviting and well‑stocked.

Key responsibilities

• Provide champion customer service by engaging shoppers, answering queries and resolving complaints promptly.
• Maintain store presentation and stock quality – keep shelves clean, organised and ensure product freshness.
• Execute promotional displays and signage, aligning with campaign requirements.
• Collaborate with the team (“Swarm”) to support smooth daily operations and meet store objectives.
• Prioritise safety and compliance by following protocols, reporting hazards and adhering to company policies.
