Regional Sales Manager

About the role

Bayer Crop Science New Zealand is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to lead the sales of its crop protection portfolio across the region. You will develop and execute a regional sales plan to achieve turnover, market‑share and profit targets while building strong relationships with customers, distributors and industry bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a regional sales plan to meet turnover, market‑share and profit objectives.
• Promote the crop science portfolio through reseller training, targeted promotions, field days and incentives.
• Drive regional sales by motivating merchant partners, supporting accurate forecasting and leveraging marketing activities.
• Provide responsive after‑sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and long‑term relationships.
• Collect market and competitor intelligence to inform product positioning and future opportunities.
• Collaborate with country, marketing and distributor partners to develop and execute sales and marketing plans.
• Identify and deliver advertising, promotional and sponsorship initiatives.
• Build strong networks with key industry bodies and influencers; attend agricultural events as a recognised specialist.
• Manage regional budgets through accurate planning and resource optimisation.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in horticulture, agricultural science, chemistry or a related field.
• Proven success in sales and marketing within crop protection or crop inputs.
• Knowledge of New Zealand agricultural industry and major cropping systems.
• Previous experience as a sales manager with a strong track record of meeting targets.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales and merchandising strategies.
• Strong analytical capability and excellent relationship‑building skills.
