Purchasing & Demand Planner – Christchurch

About the role

Join a supportive team at Davin Industries, a leader in precision sheet‑metal engineering since 1962. As a Purchasing & Demand Planner you will blend purchasing expertise with demand‑planning insight to keep production flowing smoothly and help the business stay ahead of market changes.

Key responsibilities

• Determine immediate and future material demand and procure hardware, components and subcontracted processing to fulfil production orders.
• Purchase non‑work‑order goods and services in consultation with the Operations Manager.
• Maintain accurate demand forecasts based on sales data, inventory levels and business requirements.
• Develop and nurture strong supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply and optimal terms.

Required profile

• Background in demand planning and purchasing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
