Programme Assistant - Westmere

About the role

sKids, part of Junior Adventures Group, creates out-of-school experiences for children across New Zealand. As a Programme Assistant at the Westmere site, you will be the friendly face behind the afternoon sessions, working a minimum of 8 hours per week on Monday to Friday afternoons (2.30pm to 6.00pm). Availability from 2.30pm is essential, and school holiday programmes may also be available.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support children in a range of fun, safe activities
• Keep the spaces tidy, clean and welcoming for children
• Help the Programme Manager run smooth, energetic sessions
• Notice any issues with behaviour, wellbeing or safety and share them with the manager

Required profile

• Right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship)
• Able to get to the Westmere site reliably by public transport and/or own vehicle
• Enthusiastic about working with children, from babysitting to coaching to volunteering
• Reliable and energetic
