Production Specialist – Fixed Term (6 months)

About the role

JDE Peet’s is looking for a Production Specialist to join its Ōtara, Auckland factory on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. You will work Monday to Friday, 6:00 am‑2:30 pm, supporting the safe and efficient production of tea and coffee.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and complete required paperwork.
• Set up and calibrate machines and weighing scales for each production cycle.
• Package tea and coffee products to specification and label bags.
• Move, stack and palletise goods, using a forklift when required.
• Ensure raw materials flow correctly to machines and troubleshoot basic issues.
• Maintain high‑quality standards, clean and safe work environment, and meet daily production targets.

Required profile

• Previous production operator experience, preferably in food, beverage or pharma.
• Ability to safely lift up to 25 kg.
• Valid NZ working rights and own transport to the Ōtara site.
• Willingness to work early‑morning shifts and occasional paid overtime.

Required skills

• Forklift licence (preferred) and experience operating a forklift.
• Machine operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Calibration of weighing scales and equipment.
