Principal Software Engineer

About the role

Partly is building the world’s first global platform for replacement auto parts. As a Principal Software Engineer you will join a fast‑growing team to design, develop and maintain mission‑critical SaaS and API services that power thousands of businesses worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement highly scalable, fault‑tolerant features for the core platform.
• Ensure data accuracy and reliability across distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver a seamless experience for platform users.
• Define and promote software engineering best practices within the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical strategy.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building complex software applications.
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals such as data structures, concurrency, architecture, APIs, testing and design patterns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed, global team.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of relational and NoSQL database models.
• Experience designing reliable, distributed systems.
