People Solutions Manager – Employment Relations

About the role

Fonterra is seeking a People Solutions Manager – Employment Relations to provide strategic and operational leadership across its employment relations (ER) portfolio. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring high‑quality, consistent support for the co‑operative while driving continuous improvement and pragmatic solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end ER, including complex cases in partnership with the ER Centre of Excellence.
• Contribute to the People Solutions operating model and roadmap.
• Design, embed, and continuously improve fit‑for‑purpose ER frameworks, tools, and processes.
• Lead and develop a team that empowers leaders to manage ER matters confidently.
• Coach senior leaders, enhance capability, and promote self‑service on people issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large or complex ER/HR advisory teams.
• Hands‑on expertise managing high‑risk and sensitive ER casework.
• Background in shared services or customer‑focused HR environments.
• Strong commercial acumen, sound judgement, and a people‑centric mindset.
• Ability to influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels, especially in challenging situations.
