People & Culture Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to join our team in Auckland and support the ANZ Field Sales, New Zealand corporate and manufacturing operations of The Arnott’s Group. In this hands‑on business‑partnering role you will act as the local face of People & Culture, providing practical advice and coaching to leaders across Australia and New Zealand while staying aligned with the broader P&C strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with field sales, corporate and manufacturing leaders across Australia and New Zealand to deliver HR solutions.
• Provide practical advice on employee relations, performance management, conduct, attendance and change initiatives.
• Guide managers through New Zealand employment legislation, industrial requirements and internal HR processes.
• Build leadership capability for both frontline and senior teams.
• Support key people programs including performance, development, wellbeing, remuneration and engagement.
• Use people data and insights to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the central HR team on payroll, HRIS and core operations while focusing on strategic business partnering.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment law and industrial relations.
• Demonstrated experience in employee relations and coaching leaders on people matters.
• Ability to work independently with a leader based in Australia.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with a pragmatic, results‑focused approach.
• Experience supporting both commercial and manufacturing environments.

Required skills

• HRIS (general understanding)
